Call for papers

 

Welcome to TECH-EDU 2018, the 1st International Conference on Technology and Innovation in Learning, Teaching and Education. TECH-EDU 2018 will take place in June 20-22, 2018 at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece

Digital technologies offer powerful tools that support teaching, learning, and education in general. Innovative technologies that incorporate specific affordances that may be used both in the teaching and learning processes. Learning models and instructional strategies are transformed and find a context configured by technologies to be applied and contribute to learning benefits. The 1st International Conference on Technology and Innovation in Learning, Teaching and Education (TECH-EDU) is an international initiative that promotes all the aspects of learning technologies. The conference covers theoretical, technological, pedagogical, organizational, instructional, as well as policy issues regarding technologies and innovation in education.
TECH-EDU aims to serve as a forum for academicians and researchers from around the world to present their current work. TECH-EDU also gives emphasis to applied research relevant to educational practice. In a more generic scope, the Conference aims to encompass broader issues determining technology and innovation integration in practice, including learning and teaching, instructional design, curriculum, learning environments, teacher education and professional development, assessment and evaluation, etc.

We invite authors to submit papers in the following and related topics:

  • eLearning and Pedagogy
  • Digital Technologies and Instructional Design
  • Computer Supported Collaborative Learning
  • Digital Technologies in the Disciplines
  • Educational gaming
  • Educational robotics
  • Web 2.0 in Education
  • Virtual and Augmented Reality in Education
  • Wireless, Mobile and Ubiquitous Technologies for Learning
  • E-Assessment – Theories and Methodologies
  • Big Data in Education and Learning Analytics
  • Affective Computing in Learning

However, innovative contributions that do not fit into these areas will also be considered since they might be of benefit to the conference attendees.

Paper submission

Papers reporting original research results and experiences are solicited.
Each paper, written in English, should have no more than 8 pages, including references and illustrations. Electronic submissions in accessible PDF electronic format are strongly recommended.
The conference proceedings will be submitted for indexing to Scopus and Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (ISI Web of Science).

Important dates

Paper submission: March 1, 2018 March 18, 2018
Notification of acceptance: April 15, 2018
Deadline for registration and camera ready papers: April 30, 2018 May 15, 2018

Technology and Innovation in Learning, Teaching and Education

TECH-EDU 2018 proceedings will be published after the conference in the Technology and Innovation in Learning, Teaching and Educationgo to new site with Springer. The conference proceedings will be submitted for indexing to Scopus and Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (ISI Web of Science).
